
The Village Press has completed a significantly increased olive pressing season with 686 tonne of Olive Fruit being pressed including contract pressing for olive growers not contracted to The Village Press.
The contract pressing enabled growers from Northland, Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Wairarapa and Marlborough to have their Olive Fruit pressed at very competitive rates in The Village Press new Centrifugal Olive Press, imported from Italy and operated at The Village Press facility - based at Sileni Estate's Winery complex.
With the new Olive Press able to process 1,800 kg's of Olive Fruit per hour, there is scope for much more contract pressing for Olive Growers - which The Village Press is interested in undertaking.
In addition to the contract pressing, a full "turn Key" process is available, with semi automated bottle filling & capping able to also be offered, along with labelling for all shapes of bottles and a filling box n' bag production line .
This service is also available to other viscous liquid producers.
