For some time, Orton Catering has been searching for a suitable venue to enable them to host larger events at another premium location in addition to Black Barn Bistro.

Orton Catering is delighted to announce that they have accepted the invitation to establish their catering operation at Sileni Estates.

Their move to Sileni Estates will offer a range of function rooms that can be utilised for private and corporate groups.  The dining room, and the stunning underground cellar will accommodate groups of up to 80 people.  There are other spaces which will be ideal for smaller groups to utilise.

In addition to this, they will be erecting a new purpose built marquee which will allow them to entertain larger numbers and greatly enhance Sileni Estates as a premium function venue.  The marquee will be positioned along side the existing outdoor dining terrace and they are sure it will quickly establish itself as a much sought after wedding setting.

Orton Catering will continue to offer their services on an off site/location basis to the many customers they have, who prefer to entertain at home, or at a venue of their choice.

Nick Gouder, General Manager, will be responsible for all Orton Catering business and will be based at Sileni Estates along with his skilled team including their Catering Head Chef Arnault Vallée.

'While we are delighted to have found a home venue for Orton Catering, we continue with our highly successful operation of Black Barn Bistro.  The Bistro has established itself as one of the premium Winery Restaurants in Hawke’s Bay and enjoys an international reputation, not only as a lunch Bistro but as a superb function/wedding venue.  Prue Barton our Black Barn Bistro Manager will continue in her present role along with the Bistro’s Head Chef Terry Lowe."
